Jun 24, 2025Jacksonville State softball sophomore Emma Elrod was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's All-South Region second team Thursday.
Elrod, the team's left fielder, finished the season ranked among the top 20 in Jax State's program single season record book in hits, doubles, batting average, home runs, RBI's, slugging percentage, at bats, runs and stolen bases.
She led the team in each of those offensive categories this season, with her 55 runs being the fifth most by a player in program history and her 15 home runs being the sixth most in program history.
Elrod finished her season ranked 15th in all of NCAA Division I softball in hits and 21st in doubles.
She also made first-team All-Conference USA and earned a spot on the league's all-tournament team.
